What is Fear?

Fear is a natural, powerful, and primitive human emotion. It involves a universal biochemical response as well as a high individual emotional response. Fear alerts us to the presence of danger or the threat of harm, whether that danger is physical or psychological. Wikipedia

Sometimes fear stems from real threats, but it can also originate from imagined dangers. Fear can also be a symptom of some mental health conditions including panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, phobias, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). According to VeryWellMind

We know the bible says  “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” ~ 2 Timothy 1:7 therefore put fear away and put on faith.

Here are few verses to keep you from the foul and vile spirit of fear.

Psalm 23:4“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Psalm 27:1  The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 56:3 “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”  

Psalm 118:6-7 “The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.  What can man do to me?  The Lord is with me; he is my helper.” ~ 

Isaiah 35:4  say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”

Psalm 34:4  I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

Psalm 56:3-4  When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.  In God, whose word I praise— in God, I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?

Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Revelation 1:17 “Then he placed his right hand on me and said: ‘Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.’”

Mark 5:36 “Jesus told him, ‘Don’t be afraid; just believe.’”

I encourage you to decree these words right now in faith:

I overcome the spirit of fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus because God has not given me the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a very sound mind. I decree my mind is sound. I will not give in to the false voices in my head because I am not a slave a fear. I am the child of the living God today and always… therefore satan get your lies of my head in Jesus name, Amen.
