Leah, refuses to deny Christ and it’s making people doubt her smarts. Many Christians have come out to swinging against the little girl that was kidnapped by Boko Haram in Dapchi. It’s been weeks since the organized kidnap of some girls took Nigerians by surprise; although the girls were released; the kidnappers kept back a girl called Liya or Leah Sharibu a Christian girl, the only Christian kidnapped by the Boko haram terrorists.

As of today, She is still being held in their camp because she refused to denounce her faith in Christ Jesus as a true Christian she is, What a Treasure! No wonder her captivity has brought out the ugly side of many Christians professors, as we can see how shallow many have been, no thanks to overfeeding of junk /materialistic messages from the pulpit and shameless of twisting of the grace message.

It is said in our local parlance that,  “it is when the wind blows that you see the buttocks of the chicken. ” today that wind of direct denial of Christ has blown and we can see that the shallowness of many Christians have come to fore. For many are quick to scream I love Jesus, I love Jesus but today,  those same voices are crying the little girl should use ‘wisdom’. If she was wise she would have been freed. She’s a little girl that’s why she is being stubborn , naive and so on.

This is truly a watershed moment for Christians in Nigeria to know that the prosperity gospel that has eaten into the fabric of our collective souls as a people has given birth to the cold hearted Christianity we are seeing today. People no longer see wrongdoing as wrong, we have made a God in our own image that caters to our whims and caprices.

Now many Christians are of the view that she should have denied Christ to save herself from captivity. Some dared others who questioned their reasoning to kidnap themselves or pray to be kidnapped and see if they wouldn’t lie to save themselves.

Then comes the flurry of biblical examples of those who lied to save themselves  from sticky situations such as — Father Abraham, Apostle Peter but, they stopped short of saying how guilty they felt and how those lies almost cost them their lives save for the mercy of God.

These same people forget the examples of Job, “curse God and die!” even from the privacy of his own home, Job refused to deny his God. What about Daniel thrown in the lions den? How about Daniel’s friends, Shadrach,  Meshack , and Abednego that were thrown into burning furnace fire ?? What do we say about the countless martyrs, John the Baptist, James the apostle, Stephen the deacon and the rest of the apostles? The apostolic fathers? The early church fathers? Wycliff, John Knox, et all.  All  these men and women  gave their lives for the gospel of Christ but today we are told that they lacked wisdom. Wisdom from the devil or what? Who has bewitched us?

If you think that God is going to change His words because you changed your mind. You must be a joker and you need to seriously reprent asap.
